協會活動

社協去年舉辦了49個不同類型的課程、專業研討會、健康講座、華人社會工作研討會及社工學生貴州訪問團等，今年為配合社協55週年，將有更多活動陸續推出。

Objectives
Some social workers may have the misconception that managing people is manipulating people and thus find it difficult for them to manage their subordinates. This course aims at explaining the 3 very important basic concepts - leading, managing and motivating, from a practical perspective so that participants are able to apply them in their day-to-day people management tasks with greater ease of mind and effectiveness.

Speaker Mr. Weymond LAM Hong-wai, 林亢威先生

Mr Weymond Lam is the Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department of a public listed company in Hong Kong. He has been a human resources management practitioner for over 20 years. He has gained extensive human resources management experience from working in different industries including construction, real estates, telecommunication, trading and finance.

Mr Lam has conducted management related training courses for the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), Hong Kong Social Workers Association, Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM) and many other NGOs. He is also serving a number of public organizations and education institutes - as a member of the Executive Council of the HKIHRM, a member of the NGOs Salary Survey Working Group and the Standing Committee on Quality Management and Efficiency Enhancement of the HKCSS, a member of the Executive Committee and Finance and HR Subcommittee of the Hong Kong Student Aid Society, and an Honorary Assistant Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration of the University of Hong Kong.
